The Course

Big Sky is famous for its gentle rolling links in an untamed mountain setting.

Situated at the base of majestic Mount Currie surrounded by rivers and lakes, Big Sky offers an incredible natural setting. Players will have awe-inspiring vistas at every hole.

There are seven sets of tee combinations for play ranging from 5,200 to 7,001 yards. The 18 hole award winning public golf course is designed by course architect, Robert Cupp, and features bent grass fairways, tees, greens and Ravensdale sand bunkers to provide the finest in golf course conditioning.

Course Architect

Big Sky Golf Club was designed by Robert (Bob) Cupp in 1993 and has since matured into one of the top golf courses in Canada. After a short career as a golf professional, Bob launched a career in golf design that has spanned more than four decades. He was Senior Designer with Nicklaus Design for 15 years before forming his own firm in the mid 1980’s. Jack Nicklaus credits Bob as being one of the cornerstones of his present global design firm and the two men were close friends up until his passing in 2016.

Our Artwork

Have you ever wondered who is behind the metallic art at the entrance to Big Sky Golf Club? Let us introduce you to Davide Pan.

Davide Pan was born in Vicenza, Italy in 1965 and immigrated to Canada in his teens in 1981. After receiving a Studio Art Diploma from Capilano College, Davide returned to Italy to study at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. While at the Accademia his art work was selected for a large exhibition and later purchased by the city of Venice and has since been part of the permanent collection of the Ca’Pesaro (the Venice Museum of Modern Art).

After returning from Italy, Davide continued his fine art studies at U.B.C., Emily Carr College of Art and Design and at Capilano College while showing extensively in and outside of Vancouver. His work is part of private and public collections in Canada, the USA and Europe. He is currently living and working in Vancouver.
